DIETHYLSTILBESTROL (DES) AND ADENOCARCINOMA
Diethylstilbestrol (DES) can lead to Adenocarcinoma

Information on Adenocarcinoma, a side effect of Diethylstilbestrol (DES), follows:

Carcinoma is a malignant type of cancer that invades tissues and organs, and can extend to lymph nodes and distal sites (metastasis). Carcinoma In Situ (CIS) is a pre-malignant condition, in which cytological signs of malignancy are present, however, there is no histological evidence of invasion through the epithelial basement membrane.

A side effect of Diethylstilbestrol (DES) is Adenocarcinoma. Carcinomas, like all neoplasia, are classified by their histopathological appearance. Adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, two common descriptive terms for tumors, reflect the fact that these cells may have glandular or squamous cell appearances, respectively. Severely anaplastic tumors might be so undifferentiated that they do not have a distinct histological appearance.

Carcinomas, like all cancers, are staged according to the extent of disease. For some common tumors, classic staging methods (such as the Dukes classification for colon cancer) are still used, and may distinguish stages in Adenocarcinoma, a side effect of Diethylstilbestrol (DES).

What are my options after contracting Adenocarcinoma from Diethylstilbestrol (DES)?

Litigation may be the only way to receive the damages to which you may be entitled, such as medical and health care bills, lost or diminished wages, and financial compensation to the family in the case of death. Your individual state's law may limit your time to bring a legal claim to protect your rights. So you should have your Diethylstilbestrol (DES) claim about Adenocarcinoma evaluated as soon as possible.
