Actor Heath Ledger Found Dead with Ambien

January 23, 2007 (Bloomberg.com)

Ambien pills were found near Heath Ledger's body, and generic versions of the Xanax and Valium anti-anxiety pills prescribed in the actor's name, were found in the house, the New York Post reported, citing unidentified people in law enforcement.

A Dangerous Mix: Ambien and Driving

April 2, 2007 (cbsnews.com)

Ambien is meant for those with extreme insomnia who can commit to seven or eight hours of sleep a night. Only the proper prescribed amount is to be taken, and caution should be used when taking other pills or drinking alcohol.

Users of the drug have been known to sleepwalk and eat during the night, but a far more dangerous problem involves driving. Many accidents have taken place due to Ambien users driving while under the influence of the medication, completely unaware of their actions. In Wisconsin alone, over fifty accidents have occurred where Ambien was found in the driver's bloodstream. According to one forensic toxicologist, the driving was "erratic" and in most cases, the ones behind the wheel had no recollection of the event.

It is essential that you inquire about your Ambien lawsuit as soon as possible. Your individual state's law may limit your time to bring a legal claim to protect your rights. Your legal review is free, there is no commitment, and your case will be evaluated immediately.
