Arsenic Found in Two Rockland County, NY Wells

Two wells in Rockland County, NY were found to contain
arsenic, exceeding the acceptable federal limit.
Local officials are
trying to determine the cause of the arsenic while informing residents with
private wells to have theirs checked for arsenic as well.
According to
journalnews.com, "some customers criticized the company [United Water] for not
notifying them immediately so they could have chosen to use bottled water
instead of their tap water," although the company insists it used the wells for
sampling only.
An official from United Water said the company planned to
install a treatment system by the summer.
