Well Water Testing for Arsenic Commences in Leroy and Lomira, WC
Private Well Water Testing for Arsenic in WC as Part of a Research and Educational Program
Residents living in the towns of LeRoy and Lomira are eligible to have private well water tested for arsenic, among other pollutants, as part of a research and educational program, according to the Fond Du Lac Reporter newspaper (September 5, 2006).The program is sponsored by the Dodge County University of Wisconsin-Extension office and the Central Wisconsin Groundwater Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Special test kits will be available for a brief time and three different packages will be offered. The Metals Package will help farmers and homeowners determine whether they have any health concerns from lead, zinc. manganese, arsenic, sulfate or sodium. That kit costs $38.
