ASBESTOS SAFETY
School must consult with accredited professionals
Under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), a school must consult with accredited inspection and management professionals skilled in evaluating asbestos-related conditions.
This obvious step is required to help identify and carry out whatever asbestos actions are necessary and appropriate to protect the environment and the health of school personnel.
These actions or methods must be documented in the management plan.
