Pekin, IL - Water Testing for Atrazine Offered for Rural Residents

Pekin, IL - Rural residents living in Mason,
Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties can have their water tested, thanks in
part to the Tazewell County Health Department in conjunction with the Central
Region Groundwater Protection Committee.
The recommendation is for
well-water to be tested annually. The tests provide will check for atrazine, an
herbicide.
Sampling bottles may be obtained from the Tazewell County
Health Department, or sample bottles can be mailed directly after receipt of a
check or money order plus $2.50 for shipping.
