Learn About the Risks To Taking Avandamet, an Anti-Diabetes Medication

Avandamet is prescribed to people with type 2 diabetes who do not take daily insulin injections.

Avandamet, made by drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline, is a combination of two oral diabetes medicines that help people control their blood sugar levels.

Avandamet contains metformin and rosiglitazone. The latter has been found to increase the risk of cardiovascular complications in patients who take it.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning on May 21, 2007 advising patients to consult with their doctors and determine the risks to taking medications that contain rosiglitazone.

If you or a loved one has suffered cardiac complications after ingesting Avandia or Avandamet, you deserve the guidance of an experienced drug attorney. Get a free case review by filling out the form below.
