Weitz & Luxenberg addresses Dieldrin concerns
In some Florida communities, including DeLand and Miami-Dade County, fears of contamination have been justified as reports have confirmed the presence of Dieldrin – a toxic pesticide – in well water. Federal health authorities have warned residents of levels of the toxin unfit for human consumption.
One man who raised his daughters in one of the contaminated neighborhoods told reporters that every member of his family had experienced some form of rare endocrine-related illnesses, including cysts and tumors.
Residents in these communities have also dealt with property damage as contaminated well water has devalued their homes and forced them to connect to municipal water supplies and use filtration systems.
Weitz & Luxenberg is currently investigating the possibility of legal liability on the part of Dieldrin’s manufacturers. Weitz & Luxenberg consultant Erin Brockovich, the famed environmental activist, recently spoke in DeLand about the possibility of pursuing legal action.
If you or a loved one live in an area with well water tainted by Dieldrin, please contact the lawyers of Weitz & Luxenberg today for a free case evaluation. Please fill out the form on this page and a representative will be in touch with you shortly.
