Holcim cement plant is located 2 miles north of the Village of Dundee. Residential housing and commercial businesses are situated two miles north of the plant. The plant is known to have released lead emissions into the environment.

those defendants agreed to pay $423 million to settle suits involving the
contamination of 153 public and private drinking water systems nationally.
