Julia LeMense
Julia LeMense has been an environmental and land use attorney for 13 years. In addition to representing plaintiffs in environmental litigation, she has represented clients' environmental and energy concerns in a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters. Julia has coordinated, overseen and participated in various advocacy campaigns relating to environmental and energy issues. She has been the senior attorney and the Executive Director of a non-profit, public interest environmental law firm.
Julia was on the faculty at Vermont Law School and was the Assistant Director of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic. Julia was also a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School-Newark in the Rutgers Environmental Law Clinic.
Julia earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Michigan State University, with high honors; a J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, with distinction; and a LL.M. in Environmental Law, summa cum laude, from Vermont Law School. She is admitted in Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Vermont, and in a number of Federal Courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Julia has also authored a number of published works about environmental issues.
