Woman, 24, charged with fatal hit-and-run
Long Island car accident kills wheelchair-bound veteran
December 9, 2008 – Bail was set at $150,000 yesterday for a Long Island woman accused of killing a veteran in a wheelchair while she was driving drunk, then fleeing the car accident.
The 24-year-old woman had a blood-alcohol level of .242 when she hit the man in Coram early Sunday, Newsday reported.
