Utah - Mercury program gathers 375 pounds of hazardous metal

Ever since Utah changed their mercury laws in 2006,
Utah residents have collected 375 pounds of the toxic metal.
A program,
titled "Get the Mercury Out," was established to reduce the amount of mercury in
area.
Although many thermometers have been brought in, the bulk of the
mercury has come from automatic light switches from vehicle trunks and doors.
