PSI Energy v. Roberts Mesothelioma Case: The Jury’s Verdict

The jury returned a verdict finding compensatory damages of $2,800,000.00 to Roberts and $1,000,000.00 to Beverly Roberts.
However, the jury found for PSI and against the Robertses on their claim for punitive damages.
The jury allocated thirteen percent fault to PSI, twelve percent fault to Roberts, thirty-six percent fault to nonparty ACandS, and the remaining fault to other nonparties.
The trial court entered judgment against PSI awarding $364,000.00 to Roberts and $130,000 to Beverly Roberts for a total of $494,000.00. PSI filed a motion to correct error, which the trial court denied.
