Billings, MT - EPA tests more homes for PCE

September 19, 2006

Due to underground pollution in the Lockwood area, EPA officials have returned to Billings, MT for more PCE testing. The area is on the government's Superfund list.

Plumes and vapors in the area are seeping into homes and causing harm to residents.

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality, according to the Billings Gazette, "linked the contamination with dry cleaning operations in the area in the 1960s and 70s."
