Numerous users of Bausch & Lomb’s ReNu MoistureLoc contact lens solution are developing a fungus called “fusarium” in their eyes after cleaning there contact lenses with ReNu. Many are filing suit because this product has led to a variety of serious problems, notably loss of vision, and blindness.

The FDA reports, “A fungus called Fusarium has been identified as the cause of the reported infections. As of April 9, 2006, 109 cases of suspected Fusarium keratitis are under investigation by CDC and public health authorities in 17 states of the U.S.”
