Michael Jackson Trial
Below is an article detailing events surrounding the 2005 child-molestation
trial of Michael Jackson. We do not litigate criminal cases, however we know
that many people surfing the Web are intrigued by this particular lawsuit. We
therefore provide this as a courtesy to our online visitors. Here is information
on cases we accept.
On February 3, 2003, Granada Television in the United Kingdom aired a
program about Michael Jackson. He was featured in a report by UK's
sensationalistic reporter Martin Bashir. The documentary was subsequently aired
in the United States a few days later.
The program captures the image
and words of Michael Jackson's former confidante and his accuser, who was born
December 1989, but at the time of the production of the news show was just 12
years old. The child is seen hand in hand with the pop star and laying his head
on Michael Jackson's shoulder.
The boy said on the stand the initial act
was Michael Jackson's initiative, the second of his own volition. He says that
he did it because he was Michael Jackson's closest friend.
The boy and
the infamous Gloved One each discuss how they went to sleep at night in
Michael's bedroom--but just not together in one bed. The boy subsequently said
that he did not know that the program would be aired internationally. After the
film reached TVs around the world, he says he was frequently ridiculed. His
mother now says that she has not given Bashir permission to tape her child, and
did not know of the events until the program was broadcast.
Michael Jackson is captured on film indicating that several kids, including pre-teen boys (among them are Macaulay Culkin when he was a tot, as well as his younger brother Kieran) have slept in the same bed as him. However, he says he never had adult relations with any of them. On the other hand, Michael Jackson's kids have sleep-overs with his colleagues, including Barry Gibb. He stresses that tykes crave lots of love —- not the adult kind, but like having hot milk and cookies, tucking them in, telling stories, playing with them, etc.
