Fatalities linked to popular asthma drug Advair

The popular asthma drug Advair (salmeterol xinafoate inhalation powder), "… may increase the chance of severe asthma episodes, and death when those episodes occur," according to a warning issued by the FDA in November of 2005, after fatalities were reportedly attributed to its use.

The Advair lawyers at Weitz & Luxenberg suggest that if you've taken Advair to treat asthma and have suffered an injury from Advair side effects you may want to consult with a lawyer.

Advair belongs to a class of drugs called long-acting beta 2-adrenergic agonists (LABA) which are long-acting bronchodilator medicines.

It has been prescribed to asthma patients of all ages, but more information is surfacing that Advair can cause extremely serious side effects and fatalities in some users.

There have been reports of up to 4,000 fatalities linked to Advair side effects. Weitz & Luxenberg's Advair attorneys are investigating these reports further.

The FDA has also asked GlaxoSmithKline, the makers of Advair to add new warnings on their labels, alerting patients to the risks of taking Advair.

If you have used Advair to treat asthma and have required hospitalization, the Advair lawyers at Weitz & Luxenberg may be able to file a lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline and get you compensation for your injuries, pain and suffering.

Weitz & Luxenberg is no longer accepting new Advair cases.
