Advair Side Effects

Advair has many side effects associated with its use.

According to a warning issued by the FDA in November of 2005, the popular asthma drug Advair (Fluticasone propionate; Salmeterol xinafoate ), "… may increase the chance of severe asthma episodes, and death when those episodes occur," .

THE NUMBERS
In 2005, Advair manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline saw its profits reach approximately $11.7 billion for the year. (news.bbc.co.uk)

In addition, some less serious and more common side effects of Advair include:

• dry mouth, nose, or throat after use
• yeast (or another) infection in the mouth or throat
• hoarseness or deepening of the voice, cough, or sore throat;
• nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• dizziness
• headache
• tremor
• nervousness
