Here is some more information on asbestos in Corinth. Mayor Brad Winslow said this week that once property owners find contractors certified to remove the now-banned substance i.e. asbestos, which has been linked to instances of cancer and other lung disease, "things are going to move rapidly."

"It’s been a difficult ordeal for the property owners, but it sounds like things are coming together," Winslow said this week, estimating the cleanup work could be done within the month.
