NY Labor Department will oversee asbestos removal in Corinth
Asbestos removal in Corinth will be managed by NY Department of Labor.
The attorneys at the personal injury law firm of Weitz & Luxenberg have decades of experience defending victims’ rights in practice areas that include: accidents/general injury, dangerous drugs, medical malpractice, and environmental pollutants.
NEWS UPDATE:
The New York Department of Labor will oversee the removal of the asbestos in Corinth, which must be carted to a landfill licensed to accept asbestos. That could mean moving the rubble as far as Buffalo or Pennsylvania, Winslow said.
The three properties destroyed in the blaze — a restaurant, an apartment building with retail space and a furniture store — all date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, when asbestos was a common component of construction.
