The attorneys at the personal injury law firm of Weitz & Luxenberg have decades of experience defending victims’ rights in practice areas that include: accidents/general injury, dangerous drugs, medical malpractice, and environmental pollutants.
NEWS UPDATE:
Jeff Dumont, who owns the property sandwiched by Mollie’s Mason Jar and Adirondack Woodworks, said rebuilding efforts in Corinth have been at a relative standstill because of the precautions that must be taken to remove the hazardous asbestos.
"It makes the whole thing 100 percent more complicated than it would be otherwise," Dumont said. The village is only playing the role of facilitator and can’t force property owners to expedite the cleanup. "The bottom line is it’s private property," he said.
"The village isn’t authorized to do anything but make sure it’s safe." Meanwhile, the village is looking for ways to get the owners some grant money to help pay debris removal costs that their insurance policies will not cover.
