OSHA: Shipbreaking Work Contains Asbestos Risk

Read the OSHA fact sheet about shipbreaking work. In dismantling a ship, workers can be exposed to dangerous carcinogens such as asbestos. Exposure to asbestos is known to cause serious diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer and asbestosis.
