In reviewing the competency of asbestos supervisors and asbestos abatement contractors, the Asbestos Certification Program must consider “significant violations.”

What are significant violations?

A violation will be considered significant if it constitutes a health risk due to asbestos exposure to employees or to the public.

Significant violations will be classified serious, repeat or failure to abate violations.
