Second-Hand Exposure: Asbestos on relative's clothing made woman ill.

NEWS UPDATE:
A Connecticut woman diagnosed with mesothelioma filed suit against 52 defendants in Madison County Circuit Court, alleging she was exposed to airborne asbestos fibers from her step-father's clothing.
The complaint states that dust created by working with and around asbestos and asbestos-containing products permeated the clothes of her step-father.
The woman claims her step-father has been employed as a machine operator since 1972.
She says he carried the asbestos dust on his clothing home with him where it would again become airborne.
Sadly, this situation, where exposure to asbestos was easily preventable, is all too familiar to the mesothelioma attorneys in the Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit.
We are a leading plaintiffs' law firm that has represented people affected by mesothelioma for over 20 years. Men and women diagnosed with mesothelioma or lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure may be entitled to compensation from the companies responsible for their disease.
