ADAO Reports on Asbestos Found in Consumer Products and Toys
In November 2007, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) released the results of a detailed study and evaluation of consumer goods and toys that were found to contain asbestos.
The results of the study, in which products were tested by three separate laboratories in blind studies, revealed that the following home improvement products were found to have significant levels of asbestos:
- Spackling paste and window glazing products manufactured by the home improvement products company DAP Inc.
- Rubberized leak stopping roof repair product manufactured by Gardner-Gibson, Inc.
- High Performance Duct Tape, manufactured in Canada for 3M.
