The wife of a plumber recently revealed to a newspaper journalist that her husband has been diagnosed with an asbestos disease.

The woman spoke of her heartbreak after her husband, a 60-year-old heating and plumbing engineer, was diagnosed with asbestosis.

His wife reportedly said: “It's heartbreaking. You can see he is ill, he gets short of breath and he says his lungs feel like they have needles sticking into them.

He was diagnosed with the disease asbestosis, which can lead to lung cancer, just days before his 60th birthday.
