Steelworker who installed insulation dies of esophageal cancer due to asbestos exposure
A woman has launched an asbestos lawsuit against nearly 40 companies on behalf of her late husband, who died from esophageal cancer.
According to court papers, she claims her husband contracted the cancer after asbestos exposure from his job.
The man was a steelworker and installed and tore out insulation.
It was in those duties that he inhaled the deadly asbestos fibers, which caused him to develop esophageal cancer.
His wife says she and her family lost the financial support of her husband, as well as his general services, companionship and society. She seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
Sadly, this situation is all too familiar to the mesothelioma attorneys in the Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit here in the United States.
