According to a report by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), former employees of a Fremont, California plant may have been exposed to asbestos and may be at risk to develop serious diseases as a result of their exposure.
The report stated that employees of Flinkote Co. who worked for the company from 1967-1979 were exposed to low levels of asbestos The Flinkote Co, which manufactured building materials, produced fire-retardant wall boards that contained asbestos.
