It has been reported that a doctor has testified in the asbestos trial involving W.R. Grace.
The trial concerns a vermiculite mine in Libby that was owned by W.R. Grace. Five of the company’s former executives have been accused of withholding information about the dangers of asbestos exposure from employees and Libby residents. A doctor testified in the trial and stated that about 1,800 Libby residents have been diagnosed with asbestos-related illnesses since the closing of the mine.
