Asbestos Advocate: There is no level of safe exposure--Know Your Legal Rights
Asbestos particles have been found in landfill carted in to the construction site for the ABB Grain terminal at Outer Harbor in South Australia, reported ABC News on February 7, 2008.
According to the report, government tests revealed the level of asbestos in the area is 1 percent or less, which is within safety guidelines set by the country's environmental protection agency.
An asbestos victims spokesperson has come out forcefully on the side of the unions, which insist that there are no safe levels and the contaminated soil should be removed.
"... we are saying there's no safe level of exposure," he reportedly said.
