Marine engineer exposed to asbestos dies of mesothelioma. Please contact us using the form below if you have been harmed by asbestos.
A former marine engineer of 72 died from an asbestos-related disease, reported the Reading Evening Post on July 23, 2008.
According to the Post report, doctors notes revealed the man was suffering from “very advanced mesothelioma” after being exposed to asbestos in his working life.
He had worked as a fitter and turner for a company and then moved on to work on ships until 1981. A statement he made before he died said, “I was regularly exposed to asbestos all day and every day.”
Sadly, our firm has come across many such stories where men and women toiled unprotected from asbestos, later developing mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis as a result of that exposure.
For over two decades, Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. has handled some of the most legally complicated and groundbreaking asbestos litigation in the country. Men and women diagnosed with mesothelioma or lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure or secondary exposure may be entitled to compensation from the companies responsible for their disease.
