Office Worker Dies of Mesothelioma; Exposed to asbestos-containing roof
A retired office worker has succumbed to the asbestos-related disease mesothelioma, according to the Bradford Telegraph & Argus on July 25, 2008.
The 79-year-old woman was diagnosed in May last year.
The newpaper reported that she had worked near an exhibition hall which had a roof containing asbestos.
A post-mortem discovered asbestos fiber in her lungs, the report said. The cause of death was bronco pneumonia due to malignant mesothelioma.
Sadly, this situation, where exposure to asbestos was easily preventable, is all too familiar to the mesothelioma attorneys in the Weitz & Luxenberg P.C. Asbestos Litigation unit.
