A shipyard laborer who worked in areas contaminated with respirable toxic asbestos fibers filed a lawsuit against a shipyard giant after falling ill from asbestosis and lung cancer, according to the Southeast Texas Record.
The laborer, who subsequently died, claims he was never warned about asbestos and was never provided respirator protection.
The suit contends that his employer intentionally, knowingly and recklessly caused serious bodily injury, among other allegations.
