NYS Department of Transportation employees shall not handle, remove, or disturb asbestos unless appropriately trained and, where required, certified by the New York State Department of Labor.
Department employees shall not engage in asbestos abatement activities (removal or repair) unless in full compliance with OSHA Standards.
