Wisconsin DHS Conducting Free Seminars on Asbestos Abatement in Wausau
On March 23, 2009, the Wausau Daily Herald announced the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) was inviting contractors, facility managers and property owners to attend a free program on asbestos abatement procedures.
The free sessions will address changes to the administrative code related to asbestos abatement. Health Services recommends those who perform their own building work attend a session to protect themselves, their workers and building occupants.
Exposure to asbestos is known to cause serious diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestos-related lung cancer and asbestosis.
