Hammarskjold School undergoing asbestos removal

A week-long project is under way to remove asbestos from Hammarskjold Middle School while students are home on spring break, but district officials said there is no cause for concern.

There will be no safety hazard to students and staff when they return to school on Monday, and no work will be done while school is in session, district spokeswoman Patricia LaDuca said.
