Wing of Hammarskjold School to be demolished for asbestos

A wing of Hammarskjold School will undergo an asbestos removal project while students are away on a school break

The wing of the school will ultimately be demolished this summer along with the majority of the building as part of a major project undertaken by the district. A new Hammarskjold being built near the current facility will open in September with accommodations for up to 1,700 pupils. Only an addition built in 1996 will remain from the current school.
