Air Monitoring Requirements

Monitoring Requirements. Monitoring requirements and procedures for other than post-abatement clearance air monitoring are as follows:

The sampling zone for indoor air samples shall be representative of the building occupants' breathing zone.

If possible, ambient samplers should be placed about 6 feet above the ground surface in reasonable proximity to the building and away from obstructions and drafts that may unduly affect airflow.

For outdoor samples, if access to electricity and concerns about security dictate a rooftop site, locations near vents and other structures on the roof which would unduly affect airflow shall be avoided.
