2. FRIABLE ASBESTOS-CONTAINING MATERIALS
Due to their high tensile strength, incombustibility, corrosion and friction resistance and other properties (such as acoustical and thermal insulation abilities), asbestos fibers have been incorporated into more than 3,600 commercial products.
Thermal system, fireproofing and acoustical insulation materials have been used extensively in the construction industry.
