Asbestos dumping in Eliot maybe improper

Town resident Christine Thistle said at Thursday evening's Board of Selectmen's meeting that she feared trucks may be illegally dumping construction debris or soil laced with loose asbestos at the Great Hill Sand and Gravel Company off Goodwin Road (Route 101).

Thistle quoted a local Massachusetts newspaper article describing the nature of construction debris coming from a Massachusetts site containing asbestos.
