The problem with dumping soil containing asbestos

A consent decree on asbestos dumping between a company and the state of Maine does not allow asbestos in soil except in limited circumstances .

According to Selectman Sinden, "the concern is that the soil would contain asbestos that is friable. ...; All that means is that it's loose and could become airborne."
