Chairman Wilensky says county was right to issue explanation for asbestos firing

Waller, a former building official says that the County for which he worked improperly issued documents containing an explanation relating to his firing over asbestos

"I don't think the county can release these documents for the good of the public or the press," Waller said. "I think this was a vengeful, spiteful act by them because I've been talking about them on my Web site."

In contrast, Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Wilensky said if anything, the county waited too long to give the public an explanation for the firing. "This is not a private government. This is one that should be more transparent. I am proud that we finally did the right thing," Wilensky said.
