Attached is our final report regarding the design, methodology, and oversight of the Fort Worth, Texas, Project XL proposal for an alternate method of demolishing structures containing asbestos. The subject evaluation was conducted by the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Inspector General (OIG).
This report contains findings related to modifications needed to ensure success of the Fort Worth asbestos demolition method and corrective actions the OIG recommends. This report represents the opinion of the OIG and the findings contained in this report do not necessarily represent the final EPA position. Final determinations on matters in the report will be made by EPA managers in accordance with established procedures.
