A man who developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos insulation is appealing for help in a fight for a settlement.

The man, now 61, was exposed to the carcinogen four decades ago, reported the Coventry Telegraph on August 26, 2008.

Though he only worked at the company for a year, the daily job of cutting and drilling sheets of asbestos led to him breathe in the deadly fibers and dust, resulting in his mesothelioma diagnosis.

He told the newspaper that no one mentioned the potential health risks involved in working with asbestos insulation.

He said that he and his fellow insulation cutters were not warned.

The man has reportedly been to numerous cancer hospitals but isn't eligible for mesothelioma due to his body's weakened state.
