Worker at former Ministry of Defense site dies from asbestos-related disease

July, 2008 -- A UK man who worked at a site used by the Ministry of Defense died from mesothelioma, a result of asbestos exposure at the site.

The man worked as a carpenter, and from 1952 worked at the underground site on and off for 10 years. For the last three years of his life he was confined to his bed.
