School renovation sparks fear of discovery of asbestos and mold

An elementary school will be closed for renovation out of fear of the discovery of mold and asbestos

Haycock Township resident Kimberly Pacella said a threat was made by the district to close the school and now, ''Ours fears are that this is the first step in closing the school.'' She said the scenario circulating is that once the renovation started, mold and asbestos would be found, which would add to the renovation cost and ultimately lead to the school being closed because it would be too expensive to repair.
