Former building official feels that release of public records on asbestos was wrong

A former building official who was fired over improper practices relating to asbestos denies wrongdoing and denies accuracy of related public records.

The county released the documents in response to a public records request by The Record. Waller denies that he did anything wrong, saying Community Development Agency Director Stephanie Moreno distorted information contained in the documents or even fabricated some allegations. And Waller said he's considering taking legal action against the county over its release of the records.
