Former Building Official fired for failing to check for asbestos before remodeling in San Andreas

In 2003, Waller cost the county even more money in legal fees, fines and cleanup expenses when he failed to comply with a law that required him to check for asbestos before he allowed contractors to begin remodeling the Building and Planning department offices in San Andreas, according to Moreno's letter.
