There are two methods that are commonly used to determine if a sample of material contains asbestos. These are: Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Test Method and Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) Test Method. The type of sample and asbestos suspected usually determines which method is best suited. Your trained asbestos sampling company will help make this decision.
