A Utah man suffering from mesothelioma filed an asbestos suit in Madison County Circuit Court April 17, claiming his disease was wrongfully caused, reported the Madison St. Clair Record on April 22, 2008.
The man says he has worked since 1978 as a machinist at various locations in
Utah and Illinois.
He contends that during his career and during home and
automotive repairs he was exposed to asbestos fibers from certain products he
was working with.
The machinist claims the the companies that made the
products he worked with knew or should have known that the asbestos fibers
contained in their products was highly dangerous to the health of people exposed
to them.
The article says the man first became aware that he suffered
from mesothelioma on Feb. 14, 2008.
